It is part of The Future of Regional Jobs theme that explores various employment contexts, and the continuing challenges associated with matching local skills with evolving economic opportunities shaping the regional landscape. The focus of this project is specifically on remote regions, which are characterised by their sparse permanent population, the distance to access generic services (government, commercial and main industry clusters), and their commonly recognised limited skill pools and less diverse economic capabilities.
