Dean Bradley Carson is an Australian social science academic, researcher and author.
Employed at the Northern Institute at Charles Darwin University as Professor of Demography and Growth Planning, his work focusses on the changing human geography of rural and remote towns - who lives there, who works there, who visits there - and the causes and consequences of such change.
As of 2013, Carson also worked for Flinders University and the Poche Centre for Aboriginal Health in Alice Springs. He lived in Burra in the mid-north of South Australia (National Rural Health Alliance, 2013).
