Description
The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is the branch of the Australian Government responsible for collecting and analysing statistics on economic, population, environmental and social issues, publishing many on their website. The ABS also operates the national Census every five years.
Formed on the 8th December 1905, the purpose of the ABS is to "inform Australia's important decisions by partnering and innovating to deliver relevant, trusted, objective data, statistics and insights."
