The Sydney Morning Herald (SMH) is a daily newspaper published in Sydney, Australia, and owned by Nine. Founded in 1831 as the Sydney Herald, the Herald is the oldest continuously published newspaper in Australia.
The newspaper is published from Monday to Saturday as The Sydney Morning Herald and on Sunday as its sister newspaper, The Sun-Herald. It is considered a newspaper of record for Australia.
The Sydney Morning Herald claims to be the country’s most-read masthead, with more than 8.4 million readers across digital and print over 12 months (November 2021-2022).
