The World Health Organization (WHO) is an agency of the United Nations responsible for international public health, established in 1948. Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, it has six regional offices and 150 field offices worldwide.
The World Health Assembly is the decision-making body of WHO and is attended by delegations from all 194 Member States.
The WHO's mandates include working globally with Member States to promote health, keep the world safe, and serve the vulnerable.
