The Parliamentary Friends of Democracy group was a special interest group of the 46th Parliament of Australia.
It was founded by Andrew Hastie, Member of Parliament for Canning, in response to his concerns regarding Australia maintaining its sovereignty in the face of China's rising power in the region. Labor senator Kimberley Kitching co-chaired.
"It is intended that this Group will provide a non-partisan forum for Members of Parliament to meet and interact with stakeholder individuals and groups on matters relating to upholding the tenants of our democratic institutions, including the rule of law, democracy and the constituent freedoms that make Australia a special place to live."
