Andrew Christopher Denton (4 May 1960—) is an Australian television producer and presenter, comedian and voluntary assisted dying campaigner. He is known for his comedy and interviewing technique.
Denton is one of three siblings; his father was Kit Denton, a well-known author. Denton went to Roseville Primary School in Sydney, before attending Blue Mountains Grammar School in Wentworth Falls and (in 1977) Guildford Grammar School in Perth. He then studied at Mitchell College of Advanced Education (MCAE) (now Charles Sturt University) in Bathurst, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications in 1982.
Denton is a passionate advocate for voluntary assisted dying. After the first season of his podcast Better Off Dead, he founded Go Gentle Australia, an expert advisory and health promotion charity working nationally to promote 'choice at the end of life, including the option of voluntary assisted dying.'
