Kate Golebiowska
Kate Golebiowska is a public policy researcher who works in international migration. She was educated at the University of Warsaw 1995-2000 and was awarded her PhD from Australian National University in 2007.
She studies demographic and economic impacts of immigration policy with a focus on regional areas and smaller communities. She has published on immigrant mobility motivations in northern regions, immigrant workforce participation (e.g. in health and early childhood education), comparative immigration regimes with a focus on Australia and Canada, and international education. She is currently researching gendered aspects of immigrant entrepreneurship and gambling in multicultural communities in the Northern Territory of Australia.
