Description
Al Strangeways is a British educator, academic and artist currently based in the Northern Territory of Australia.
She attended the University of Swansea from 1986-1989, graduating with a BA Hons (English Literature).
A self-taught award-winning oil painter, Strangeways was commissioned to paint the Honourable Sally Thomas AC as she completed her term as the Northern Territory’s first female Administrator in 2014. This portrait now hangs in the Drawing Room at Government House.
