Brian Richard Ede (9 March 1946—) is a former Australian politician.
Ede was educated at the Christian Brothers College in Rockhampton (now the co-educational Cathedral College Rockhampton) from 1957-1964. He moved to Papua New Guinea in 1966 to take up a role as a Cadet Patrol Officer; he stayed for 12 years, eventually working as Assistant Commissioner for local government.
On returning to Australia, Ede entered politics; he was the Australian Labor Party member for Stuart in the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly from 1983 to 1996, and Leader of the Opposition from 1990-1996.
Ede left politics in September 1996. He has been the managing partner in Hillbrook Wines, in the Pemberton region of Western Australia, ever since.
