Jos Hall is a retired Australian nurse and voluntary euthanasia advocate.
After 48 years as a registered nurse, Hall retired and focussed on advocating for reform in voluntary euthanasia legislation. Her father, Merv Hall, had been diagnosed with bowel cancer in 1980; in the end stages of the disease, he asked Hall to help him end his life. “I had to say, ‘No, I support what you’re doing, but I’m not going to risk being tried and possibly going to prison. I can’t do it. I cannot do this’. I have been traumatised by the fact that I had to say no.” (quoted in Hope, 2022).
She has been president of Dying With Dignity Queensland (DWDQ) since 2014.
